First, my groupmate starts by finding reference for the character model and topology. After reference are there, she starts by using Zbrush to sculpt the boy character, and constantly let our lecturer to check with the model anatomy.
After the sculpting is done, my groupmate export it to maya, then retopogy it to quads and the correct topology following reference and human anatomy, also taking care of the subdivisions.

Adding Details

With the human body model complete, our groupmate then move on on the character's details and clothing. Clothes made with Marvelous Designer, hair and other accessories are also sculpted on Zbrush, then bring back to maya adjust the topology, also putting base color on the model texture.

Challenges Faced

When sculpting the character, there is some shapes, anatomy, topology problem that needed to be amend, which took much time to keep changing after every review from lecturer.

Solution

Our lecturer often conduct some lessons in class after seeing student's problem, so he would tell us what to amend and how to make our model better. By lecturer demonstrating the poses and drawing on the board, quick lessons like this during class is very helpful for us.

What's Next?

Now that our character model is complete, we will move back to the concept art part.
