Sem 7 Week 3 - 2D Animatics
With our storyboard reviewed by lecturer and is completed, we then combine into a 2D animatic.

Storyboard by Tan Wen Jing & Then Sze Ying
I'm in charge of editing the 2D animatic. First, I let the storyboard artists know the export format and size for their storyboard, which is using the artboard tool in Photoshop, which can make every shot into separate layer but sizes accurate, not only it can speed up the process for exporting, it is also convenient in editing animatic if there's anything that need to be amended.
Editing
With all the shots nicely exported, I import them into Premiere Pro. In this stage, I arrange the shots following the story, with the timing. After a simple editing, we let our lecturer to review it, and we improve it with their advice. I then move on to adjust the timing more accurate. By the same time, I'm also checking with the 180 degree camera rule and also any detail that may need amendment at future stage.

Challenges Faced
When doing 2D animatic, our groupmates and lecturers all have different ideas, we need to make a choice on who's idea to be used, knowing that we don't have much time left to finalize our 2D animatic.
Solution
After our groupmates discussed, we think the ideas are all actually nice and usable, just that each will bring a slightly different feeling for the scene in our film, we made up our mind after a few discussions.
What's Next?
After the 2D animatic is edited, we will prepare for our first presentation, Pitch Desk.
